Terms of use
Last updated October 15, 2026
Tallyskein is a free row counter and pattern companion for knitting and crochet. By using it, you agree to these simple terms.
Using Tallyskein
- Tallyskein is free for personal use. You don't need an account.
- Only open patterns you have the right to use. Tallyskein helps you read your own patterns; it doesn't give you any rights to other people's designs. Patterns stay credited to their designers.
- Don't misuse the service, for example by trying to overload it or use the link importer to fetch content you aren't allowed to access.
Your data
Your projects and patterns belong to you and are stored on your device. You're responsible for keeping backups, which you can make in Settings (as a file, or automatically in your own Google Drive). See the privacy policy for details.
Connected services
Features that connect to Google Drive, Ravelry, OneDrive or Dropbox also follow those services' own terms.
No warranty
Tallyskein is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It's built with care, but it may have mistakes: always check important counts against your pattern. To the extent the law allows, Tallyskein's creator isn't liable for lost data or other losses from using the app.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the latest version is always on this page.
